Tend your wounds with a smile

09.07.23

Learning to hug yourself is important
there are moments when you realise
you are all the help you got
and that those tender words
will only come out of your own mouth

be ready for disappointment and embrace it
don’t give up
remind yourself
that you’re rather a lovely person
talented at being you
and unique like others

people will keep stabbing you
not only in the back
but learn to deal with the pain
and tend your own wounds
you’ll bleed but you’ll recover
more resilient,
hopefully happier,
or a bit more carefree

life is not a fairy tale
and relationships are also there to hurt you
and test you
and to try to destroy you
until you make an honest piece of art out of yourself
until you understand your isolation is absolute
and your loneliness only ends with your own company

be a nice person to yourself
practise words of love to tell yourself in silence
remember that your smile also exists without others
you can dance in the darkness of your room
look at your own sexy self in the mirror

come on, you can be something better than a victim
and you don’t need to hate anyone
love your own guts instead
love mate
give all that love you have
before you burst into nothingness
like everybody do
everybody is just meat waiting to be eaten
by worms waiting to be eaten by birds and so on
do the math
life is not even a second
so go and hug yourself
tell yourself you’re nice
that you love the way you exist
in the present

tend your wounds
with a smile
you’ll be fine.

Ni siquiera se llama Juana
Huele a agua de fresas
y le gusta el Metal

El sol envidia su energía
Y el tiempo quisiera detenerse
para protegerla

En ella la alegría y la tristeza,
la profundidad pura de los pozos
que brindan agua fresca…

Entre dos ríos nunca secos
brotan los caudales de su vida,
ligera y loca como los pájaros,
furiosa y tierna como la tierra
